New design for award-winning Go Go Bag™ brings hope for babies in need

Merino Kids™ has joined forces with Bliss, the special care baby charity who provide vital support and care to premature and sick babies across the UK, to help raise funds and support babies in need.

A limited edition of Merino Kids internationally award-winning Go Go Bag™ has been specifically designed for Bliss and £5 from the sale of each bag bought directly from Merino Kids will be donated to the charity.

Bliss is the national charity that helps care for babies born too soon, too small or too sick to cope on their own. Vital funds raised by Bliss help to provide a variety of initiatives such as new technology, research to improve care, family support and better hospital resources.

“A £5 donation could provide a lifeline to parents in need via the free Bliss helpline.” says Katie Knight from Bliss.

The new bag features a gorgeous Ladybird print and is made from the same 100% natural materials as Merino Kids existing bags, Ladybirds are a symbol of luck and protection. “It is believed that when a ladybird lands on you, your luck will increase and your wish will come true. I hope that the same applies for the ladybirds on the new Go Go Bag™” says Merino Kids founder, Amie Nilsson.

The face of the campaign for the new Ladybird Go Go Bag™ is a living example of how the money raised will help.

Llewellyn was born 14 weeks early at 26 weeks, weighing just 3lb 2oz and spent a total of 8 weeks in hospital. During this traumatic time his parents, Kylie and Andrew found Bliss’ publications invaluable and used the message board to connect with other parents going through the same thing.

“All babies deserve love and protection, especially those that come into trouble early in life. The proceeds from our new design will help raise awareness and funds for those babies and their families that require an extra little bit of help” Amie Nilsson, Founder and designer at Merino Kids.
